Sports Day

We hold an annual Sports Day each year in the final term. The emphasis is on participation and enjoyment of a wide variety of activities.

The whole school grounds are used, including grass and hardcourt areas. A timetable is followed on the day so every class moves around to different zones for different activities.

Activities include; dnace, gymnastics, athletics, obstacle courses, rainbow chute, co-operative games, basketball, volleyball, camogie, soccer, 3-score, olympic handball and rounders.

Some years a whole school circuit event is organised in the afternoon. Pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class get together in teams to have some fun.
