Bun Sales
Every year Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes organise and run bunsales in aid of various chatrities.
The aim of the bunsales is to instil a sense of citizenship and civic responsibility in the girls. They also encourage entrepreneurship and independence and tie in with the S.P.H.E., Maths and Religion curriculums.
A huge ammount of preparation goes into each bunsale and the girls themselves are involved every step of the way. They must come up with a game or activity for other pupils to take part in, organise prizes for their games and bake sweet treats to sell on the day itself.
The girls thoroughly enjoy running the bunsales but they also become very aware of how the funds raised are put to good use.
The bunsales are a fantastic tradition in our school and the benefits of this tradition reach far and wide.
