work for room 5 May 25-29
Hi Girls,
I hope you are all well. Thanks for sending in the lovely pictures of your lovely work. It makes me happy to think that you are all still doing a bit of work at home and that you are all staying positive. It is hard being away from your friends. When we finally return to school you will have a whole new appreciation for it.
Here is the work for this week. Remember don’t worry if you can’t finish it. Just do what you can. Record your work carefully, historians might look at it in years to come as evidence from the covid-19 pandemic!
Maths; (The answers for last week are at the end of this list of work.)
Number sentences pg 177 A, B, C.
Mental maths 5 pg 126 and 127
Continue with maths challenge and your tables.
English:
Word Wizard unit 17 ‘Stuck in Salou’ pg 97-102
Continue with spellbound and dictation- if you have any left.
Miss Perdue is collecting items for the school scribbler. She is going to produce an ebook version this year. The closing date is the 2nd of June. I would encourage you all to submit something. It could be the lovely poems you wrote about your garden or the 100 word challenge. Maybe a recipe, a drawing, or some jokes to cheer us all up. You can e-mail it directly to Miss Perdue or I can forward it on to her for you.
Gaeilge:
Dul Siar E pg 130 -131
Look over the briathra on pg 132 and 133.
Make up some abairtí iontacha from pgs 138 and 139. Look at the example at the end of pg 139. Move from left to right, pick a word from each box and you should have a sentence at the end
P.E.
Continue to practice the activities from the last few weeks – especially the sevens game , skipping and yoga.
