Mrs. Cawley: work for 5th to 8th May
Hi Girls,
I hope you are all keeping well. This is a short week so remember to take Monday off !
Here is the work for this week 5th to the 8th May. Remember to do what you can and don’t worry if you don’t get it all done. Be creative and keep writing, reading and learning your spellings and tables.
ENGLISH:
Word Wizard p 86 and 87 only. We will finish this unit next week. Here is a link to help you access the book online. I know some of you don’t have the book at home. https://www.gillexplore.ie/gill-explore-resources/word-wizard-4th-class
Use your dictionary to find the meaning of the words in bold print on pg. 86. Write them into your copy.
Spellbound- start the next unit and do one box a day. We can move on next week

Why not edit and submit the poem you wrote about your garden last week to the poetry competition on the school website? The closing date is Wednesday 6th.
GAEILGE:
Bun go Barr first half of pg 118 as far as ‘ar Dhaidi’ .
For litriu learn the words in the purple boxes in the picture. Cuir in abairtí iad. The text will help you with this.

MATHS:
Mental Maths 2 on pg 54 and 55.
Operations pg 152 only . I will try to give you the answers next week so you can correct them.
Continue with one maths challenge a day and keep learning your tables.

Here are the instructions for the yard game of 7s that you are all familiar with. You can practise your throwing skills with this game.
7's (Sevens)
- throw ball against wall and catch
- wall, bounce, catch
- ground, wall, catch
- right hand or left hand (i.e.) one hand
- underleg, wall catch
- wall, clap, catch
- wall, tip the ground & catch
- wall, turn around, catch
Do everything seven times, then 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, once.
