U11 Gaelic Football team qualify for the County Final.

There was great excitement in the school on Thursday when our U11 Gaelic Football team qualified for the school's first ever County final in Gaelic football. 

The girls took part in the Under 11 blitz which was held in Leahy Park here in Cashel. They beat Rosegreen and Doneskeigh in their group to qualify for the county semi-final. 

Next they played St. Josephs, winners of their group, in the semi-final. The team won by 4-7 to 2-0 to secure their place in the County final against Ballylooby. 

This is a huge achievement for the girls as this is only the school's third year entering a gaelic football team into the Cumann na mBunscoil competitions. The girls are coached by Pauric Murray and no doubt, the morning running club organised by Mrs. Cawley and Miss. Ryan also helped them prepare for the competition. 

Our second U11 team will take part in a blitz on Thursday November 5th. Again the blitz will be held in Leahy park.
