Third Class English Mrs McGlinchey
Hi Girls,
I hope you are all keeping well and still enjoying the sunshine. I spoke to some of your parents last week and they say that you are doing lots of reading. Keep it up! I can't wait to hear you read when we get back to school. Here is some work for this week and remember that Monday is a Bank Holiday so enjoy your extra day off!
Comprehension: My Read at home book. Remember your parent will have to put in their name and email address to sign in and there is no need to print these pages. Just read the story and answer the questions in your copybook or orally. Read the story first, read each question carefully and pick out the key words. Go back to the story to find your answer.

Reading: Keep reading each day girls. It doesn't matter if you have read that book before, the most important thing is you pick a book you enjoy and read every day. Don't forget all the reading strategies you learned in school.
Writing: This week I would like you to write a few lines about your favourite book. Don't forget to give your writing a title, use capital letters and full stops. Check back over your work to make sure you are happy with it.
If you would like to send me some of your work my school email is smcglincheycashelgirls@gmail.com
I would love to see some of your writing and hear about the books you are reading.
Take care,
Mrs. McGlinchey
