The sun was splitting the stones today, as we enjoyed our Annual Sports Day! We started the day with a trip to the Rugby Field, where races were the order of the day. The class particularly enjoyed the sack races, the wheelbarrow race and the potato and spoon race! We then headed back to school to enjoy an exhibition of camoige from 3rd to 6th class in the school finals. There was lots of shouting at the various teams named after the County teams - Cork, Kilkenny, Galway and of course Tipperary!
Following lunch, we then focused on our relay races, which got more complicated in terms of baton types, as the time went on. With the sun blistering down on us, we then hit the obstacle course, which certainly tested all our throwing, running and jumping skills! After all that exertion it was time to chill out and engage in some rainbow meditation. No one found it difficult to relax their mind today after all that fun! A great day!
