6th class undertook Spikeball coaching with 3 T.Y. students from Rockwell College this term. They learned how to serve, dig, volley and spike the ball. The girls really excelled in the game week after week and this was very evident at the Spikeball Blitz held in Rockwell on the 15th Dec. On the day we had stiff competition from schools in Clonmel and Cahir. We were very lucky to have two teams win the plate final and the cup final on the day.
Many thanks to Larkspur complex for letting 6th class train there during PE classes and thanks to the T.Y. students from Rockwell who gave up their time willing to train the girls and who hosted a wonderful day of competition last Thursday.
