SPAR Girls’ 5-aside Soccer Blitz.

Congratulations to the girls from 5^th and 6^th class who played in the SPAR 5-aside girls’ soccer blitz in Newhill Park on the 28^th April. They played Carrick on Suir, Newport and Nenagh,  winning all games and emerging as winners of that group. They then played Newport A team in the final. It was a nail biting game which came down to penalty shoot outs and then sudden death. The girls showed their true grit and pulled off  the needed score to emerge triumphant. The girls now move on to the Munster Finals in Cork on May 9^th. Thanks to Liam Browne who came with us on the day and rallied the girls  to a win from the side line. Best of luck girls in Cork.
