School Garden
It has been another busy year in our school garden with pupils from first class to fifth class getting involved in gardening activities.
This year, first, second, third and fifth class have taken charge of one of the raised beds each. The pupils in each class have been busy weeding, planting and watering their own raised bed.
First class planted onions, second class planted carrots & broadbeans, third class planted sunflowers and fifth class planted pumpkins. Meanwhile fourth class are growing potatoes in grow bags.
Everyone is looking forward to harvesting their crops when we return to school in September.
The Green School Committee installed new composters in the school garden this year. The members of the sixth class "help team" have been busy collecting compostable waste from the classrooms and we hope to have compost from the new composters to use in our school garden next year.
