Hello again to all of my girls and their families,
I hope you all had a safe and peaceful Easter break. I have a few more guidelines of work to be covered for the coming week (20th – 24th April 2020). I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all again that the girls’ wellbeing is most important here. I would suggest that each student works at their own pace. We are all unique with different sets of strengths and talents, so don’t be worried if you are finding some tasks more or less difficult than other tasks. The weather has been lovely recently and I hope you have all had the chance to get some fresh air and play in the sunshine. If you haven’t yet, make sure to include it in your daily plans for next week.

English: Read chapters 12-15 of The Worst Witch Saves the Day (Monday to Thursday). Questions will be in ‘English Novel’ document below. On Friday, the girls may complete a reading comprehension based on recycling, the document is labelled ‘Reading Comprehension Recycling’. The reading comprehension has three difficulty levels.
Spellings: Unit 26. LCWC, workbook activities and create sentences for 10 of these words.
Writing: write a diary entry for each day of this week.
Maths: 1 maths challenge per day. Keep revising tables. Capacity pp. 157 – 161 in Planet Maths 3 and 4.
Remember: 1000 millilitres (ml) = 1 litre (l)
500 millilitres = ½ of a litre, 250 millilitres = ¼ of a litre, 750 millilitres =3/4 of a litre
Look out for examples of capacity in your home, and notice how many millilitres or litres different containers can hold. There are revision worksheets attached as extra work.
Irish: Bun go Barr: Aimsir. Make best attempts at pp. 118-120 (3rd class) and pp. 118-121 (4th class). On p. 134 of both books, there is a reference page of the seasons and months. For litriu, revise the months as Gaeilge.
SESE: research Anne Frank and answer the questions in the document below.
