This week we will be working on Our 6th class Memory Wall 2019/2020
- 6th Class Memories Worksheet (from your work pack) – Complete the A3 size worksheet from your pack. I drew the wall out as we weren’t in school to show you what to do Feel free to make any changes to individualise your own…as long as it looks like a wall with bricks on it. Make each “brick” a different colour. Inside each “brick” draw a picture and add a word/sentence to show what it is. I showed you how to do this on the Zoom meeting...remember!! Examples include Christmas Show, library visits, choir, our visit from Dept of Ed inspectors , trip to playground etc.. I have listed things below that we were involved in so take your pick!!

- Time Capsule Worksheet (from your work pack) – Complete both sides of worksheet, one side is ‘Interview Your Parents’ and the other side is ‘Things to Remember’. We will be collecting these to put in a time capsule.
- 2 Triangles. (One for the school wall and one for you as a gift. )
Important..You’ll see where I wrote your name on the triangles. Do not write on this side. Turn it over and write on the other side.
The first triangle is just to be signed with your name in black pen. No colouring. No decoration. This will go on the school wall outside the 6th class door, like all 6th classes have done in the past. On your return visits you will see it there a long with a 6th class photo. You might even show your children it some day!!!
On the second triangle you can put a small message to your fellow 6th class students and sign it. All done in black pen so it is easier and clearer to photocopy. These are going into the 6th class collage which you will receive as a keepsake of your time in our school.
-White Sticker. This is going into your autograph book. As we can’t sign them in school this is a way around it. You’ve plenty of room. Write something personal and inspirational on it for your fellow 6th class students. Try Google for inspirational quotes!!!
-Jigsaw piece, “We are all in this together “ to be finished to make an art installation in the school. Cut it out and sign it clearly with oyurname and date at the bottom please.
- A to Z of Sixth Class – Write one memory or one thing you've learned this year for each letter of the alphabet (in alphabetical order) and decorate it nicely.
For example:
S = Our Christmas Show was called ‘It’s Showtime!’
O = An Octahedron is an 8 sided 3D shape .
T= Trapezium ( A four sided 2D shape or a triangle with the top cut off….remember!!!)
- The 6th Class Times - Write a newspaper report on this year’s highlights.
- My Hopes for Next Year – Next year will be your first year in secondary school. It’s a big year for you and you’ll have lots of new responsibilities and opportunities. Write up what your hopes are for next year and what you want to achieve in 1st year.
- Survival Tips for Next Year's Classes- Write a list of top tips to help get next year’s class off to a good start in my classroom! What would your tips be for them!!
- Kindness Rocks – Follow the link below, watch the video and create your own kindness rocks! Hang on to them so that we can create a kindness garden at school. We’ll collect them later this month. You can use clear varnish or another type of sealer to seal them with.
