CHOOSE A WORK OF ART! REIMAGINE IT! GET CREATIVE!
Hi my lovely girls,
I know it's Green Week and next week is Active Week but because we are getting our holidays on Friday 26th, I thought it might be nice to end the year with a fun art activity and have some really cool images and memories to end 1st class with, especially when we haven't had the chance to be artistic and creative together as a class for a while!
Here's a chance to showcase your artistic talent. I've decided to try and put together an ONLINE CLASS ART EXHIBITION. I'm challenging each one of you (and your family!) to Reimagine an Artistic Masterpiece! Here's how:
1) Choose a work of art! Think Leonardo da Vinci, Mary Cassatt, Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Tamara De Lempicka, Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo the list is endless. A painting or print. A sculpture or fresco. A photograph or monument.........the choice is yours!
2) Re-imagine it! I want you to create your own version of it! Can you bring it to life at home? Will all the family be involved? Or just you? Maybe some pets. Or just your toys.........the choice is yours!
3) Get creative! What medium will you use? People? Household objects? Clothes? Paint? Lego? Pencils? Clay? Mixed materials.........the choice is yours!
When you're happy with your masterpiece, email it to me as you would with any news, work or photo but don't forget to include the original version too! (your inspiration!). You should be able to send a photo of both pictures side-by-side in a single image (like the examples below) so that I can display the exhibition on the website or Whatever way is easiest. The links below girls are just a help. You can choose any image of a work of art that sparks your imagination. The images in the links below are mostly drawings, prints or paintings but 3D and sculpture are also an option!
