St. John the Baptist Girls' School, St. John the Baptist Boys' School and the Deanery school joined together to hold a ceremony on Tuesday 15th March 2015 to mark Proclamation Day.
The 1916 Easter Rising was remembered through song, poetry and drama and a pupil from each school read the school "Proclamation for a New Generation" drawn up by pupils and staff.
The ceremony concluded with the raising of the Irish flag and a rousing rendition of the National Anthem sung by pupils, staff and guests.
