The P.A. held their annual table quiz in the school on Thursday June 16th.
The P.A Table Quiz is one of the most exciting events of the school year and this year, once again there was great excitement in the school as pupils made teams of four and prepared for the day.
The quiz was divided into two sections; the first for pupils in 3rd and 4th class and the second for pupils in 5th and 6th class. The brain-teasing questions were compiled by members of the P.A. and covered topics such as geography, history, literature and sport.
The quizmasters on the day called out the questions to the expectant pupils and the standard of general knowledge was excellent. In fact, the competition for prizes was so tough that it took three rounds of tie breakers to select the top three teams in the 3rd and 4th class competition.
The winning team in each section was presented with the perpetual cup presented by the P.A. and the name of each pupil on the team will be engraved on the trophy. Members of the winning team also received a cash prize as did the members of the second and third placed teams.
A big thank you to the members of the P.A. who compiled questions, acted as quizmasters and corrected answers on the day. The pupils really enjoyed the whole experience.
Thank you also to the P.A. who generously sponsored the cash prizes for the top three teams in each section along with spot prizes for some lucky tables.
