First class with Miss. O'Brien were very lucky to be one of the few classes in Tipperary to be chosen by Waterford Teacher Centre to take part in the The Artist and the Teacher in Partnership programme. Avril Kinane a musician was the artist and for 6 weeks 2 hours a week we worked together exploring sound through dance, listening to many instruments being played, listening to recorded music, body percussion, voice, percussion instruments, tin whistle playing, song, rap and through silence. It was a wonderful experience and ended with a performance on 29th May. Well done to all the girls for their fantastic concentration, creativity, and innovation.
