Ms. Cronin's 1st class Tour
What a day we had! From the moment we boarded the bus in Cashel to the moment we returned back to the gates of the school, our girls were focused on having the best tour possible! It was their first foray despite being in 1st class, due to Covid over the last number of years. Fota Island Wildlife Park promised us a great adventure and it delivered. We saw giraffes, peacocks, penguins, wallabies, rhinos, cheetahs, gibbons and the list goes on! We even saw a sloth which made our class very happy! Our tour guide Katie (who turned out to be from Golden!) was fantastic and the girls impressed her with their knowledge and excellent questions!
We took a break to eat our lunch (the peacocks, peahens and other flying birds were keen to keep us company!) and spent some time in the playground. We then headed on around the park to see some more animals up close! We even saw two giraffes fighting! Everyone had their favourites of the day, as we boarded the bus for the return journey home, so there is a little video below. The video will give you the chance to spot some of the animals we saw today, in the background of the pictures. The girls were a credit to themselves, their families and their school on their very first tour!
