- How long did Arion spend travelling around the world?
- How did Arion make money on his travels?
- What did the crew of the ship to do Arion?
- Why did hundreds of dolphins appear and what did they do?
- What did King Periander do about the crew of the ship?
Here is a video of the story, should you wish to listen to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtd7q2cWp1A
------------------------------------------------------------------
Faith and the Bomb
- Where and when does this story take place?
- Where did Faith the cat sleep?
- Why do you think the vicar (priest) called the little kitten, Panda?
- What happened whilst the vicar was away?
- How did Faith and Panda survive the bomb and the fire?
- The vicar says at the end “Faith must have known the bomb was coming.” Do you think she knew?
Contraction Words
When two words are shortened to make one word, an apostrophe (‘) is put in where the letters have been taken out.
For example: can not = can’t (an ‘n’ and the ‘o’ are taken out)
These words are called contractions.
Write the words from which these contractions come.

ART
I’ve included an ice cream mindfulness colouring sheet for some nice, relaxing quiet time. Enjoy! :)
Scribbler
If you would like to submit something for consideration for the School E-Magazine (Scribbler), please email it to Ms Perdue (email address on front page of the school website). You might like to write a short story, a poem, make a wordsearch, write a recipe, a puzzle, anything at all ! Closing date is June 2nd.
Ps. I found some more wildflowers this week! Keep an eye out for white or purple clover, poppies and giant daisies which I think are called 'ox-eye daisies' because they are big like the eyes of an ox ! Slán! :)
