Miss Horan- Term 3 week 3 work

3rd May 2020

Hi girls!
I hope you have had a good week. It was an exciting week in our house, Baby Luke turned one! We had some cake and he saw his grandparents on the computer. I hear some of you have been able to see your family and friends on the computer or phone too. We are so lucky to have phones and computers at this time, it is a great way to keep in touch.

I also received some wonderful emails during the week from you. It is great to see you learning and keeping busy at home. Some of you have even given me great ideas that we can do in school when we return so I am learning at home too!

Hope you are all happy and well. Keep safe everyone.
Ms. Frances Horan

Term 3, Week 3 Tuesday 5th May – Friday 8th May
Parents- During this time at home, if you are to choose one thing to prioritize in terms of schoolwork, let it be reading. Like I have mentioned in previous weeks, read any material that is available and appropriate. It could be a letter, a magazine, any type of list, instructions, the tv guide or of course any little books you can get your hands on. It all counts. I have assigned specific reading again this week, if you have any questions about it or would like any further help or guidance please do not hesitate to contact me. I would love to help in any way I can. My direct email is  fhorancashelgirls@gmail.com

You simply draw and colour your pictures using any type of wax crayons you have on plain white paper. Lean quite heavily on the crayon for best effect. When you have your pictures completed use a paint wash (a little blue paint mixed with water) and paint this wash all over your pictures. Here is a link with some helpful little tips on this activity.
