Library Visit

On the 15th of October the First Class girls were very lucky to attend a reading by Brianóg Brady Dawson in the library in Cashel. Brianóg is the author of many of the Panda series from O'Brien Press. Titles include Granny's Teeth, Granny Makes a Mess and Granny's Secret which Suzanne from the library read to the girls in advance of the visit, so the girls had been introduced to Danny and his mischief prior to the visit and were looking forward to hearing more about him. 

A wet day loomed but thanks to Pauline Ryan, Mrs. Andrews and Ms. McGuire the girls were ferried to the library!

Ms. Brady Dawson had wonderful presence and humour and managed to captivate her audience with personal anecdotes and the reading of Danny's Pesky Pet. The Girls were drawn in to predictions, role playing and making connections and were left with a hunger to learn more anout the engaging Danny. 

When it was time to leave Suzanne provided each girl with a pack of activities to keep them amused. Thank you to the library for organising this invaluable event.
