Green Schools Week Room 7 3rd and 4th Class
Hi girls,
I hope you are all well and enjoyed taking part in the School Tour/School Memories week. This week, the 15th – 19th of June is Green Schools Week. In your packs, you should find a sheet labelled ‘Green Schools Week’ and a small packet of seeds. You have a selection of activities to complete as you wish. I’m looking forward to trying the birdfeeder activity!
If you have compost at home, you could fill a small flower pot (or re-use an old container such as a yoghurt pot) with compost, make a small hole in the compost, add the seeds and cover them with some compost. Make sure to water the seeds every day. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!
Earlier this year, we read a lovely poem in Religion based on caring for the earth. I have added it to the images below because it is an important message to keep in mind for Green Schools Week. We all discussed ways in which we can care for the earth during that lesson and I encourage you all to continue doing so as best you can.
Thank you all for your emails. Once again, you have completed fantastic work and shown great creativity.
If you have any questions or would like to share your work, you can email me on squirkecashelgirls@gmail.com
Take care,
Miss Quirke :)
