This November our school celebrated Global Citizenship Week.
6th class in Room 7 studied Australia. We studied the physical features of Australia- its mountains, rivers and deserts. We also studied Australia's native people, the Aboriginals and their way of life. We made striking aboriginal dot paintings and even made a class didgeridoo.
We also learned the song "Waltzing Matilda" and we became "au fait" with Australian slang.We researched many famous Australian people , the Australian flag and famous Australian landmarks.
We had a great time researching the topic and thoroughly enjoyed the different classes that visited our Australian presentation on the day.
