Fifth Class trip to 1916 Exhibition in Clonmel Museum.

On Monday last, fifth class pupils travelled to Clonmel Museum where they were given the opportunity to view the 1916 exhibition. 

The girls enjoyed an interactive talk on the 1916 Rising, while trying on the the uniforms of the day and handling the weapons and artefacts of the era. 

The students also visited the museum's new 1916 Training Room where they engaged in a variety of exercises required to be a Volunteer during 1916 including: Printing Techniques, Target Practice, Uniform Assembly, Proclamation Readings and the museum's first ever ‘Selfie Booth’ to record their training.
