Fifth class have been busy learning about Norman castles in history.
As part of their studies they visited Cahir castle where the got to see the portcullis, murder holes and other features of the castle up close. The girls came home with a great sense of what it was like to live inside the walls of the castle and just how how difficult it would have been to capture a Norman castle.
