The girls have been discussing and learning about families this week. It was lovely to hear about each girl's family and to see their lovely pictures of their families. Our main focus was to realise that all families are different but the thing they all have in common is love. We learned a little rhyme too.
Some families are large.
Some families are small.
But I love MY family best of all.
For roleplay, the girls took on the role of different family members. For small world, the girls were playing families with the dolls and doll house. They also built houses for the owls we read about in our story 'Owl Babies'. We did some printing with sponges during art and the girls printed their families.
