Cashel Arts Fest National Gallery Visit

Sixth class participated in an art workshop with Caoimhán from the National Gallery of Ireland. They looked at many of the art pieces that are available to see in the National Gallery and were encouraged to visit anytime. 

They also looked at genre paintings from everyday life, in particular a painting from Gerard Dillon called "Little Green Fields" which depicted many everyday scenes from Connemara.The girls were encouraged to paint a scene depicting all the things they would associate with Tipperary.

Thanks to Cashel Arts Fest for organising this treat for the girls and thanks also to the National Gallery of Ireland. The girls really enjoyed the insightful presentation and workshops.
