Attendance 2017/2018.
Well done to the 34 pupils in our school who achieved full attendance for the 2017/2018 school year. They are pictured on the final day of the school year, when Mrs. Andrews presented them with their Attendance Certificates and prizes.
A special award was presented to Anna Ryan 6th Class, who achieved full attendance for her entire 8 years in the school.
The overall attendance rate for the 2017/2018 school year was 93.6%. April and September had the highest attendance rates at 96.4% and 96.3% respectively, while January at 89.5% had the lowest attendance rate.
The best attending classes were Mrs. O'Dwyer's 3rd & 4th class and Mrs. Kealy's 5th class. Both classes had an overall attendance rate of 95.3%.
25% of pupils in our school had an attendance rate of 98% or above this year. 34 pupils had full attendance, 19 pupils missed one day, 15 pupils missed two days and 17 pupils missed three days this year.
45 pupils (14%) missed 20 days or more this school year. Referrals have been made to TUSLA and the principal is liaising with the Educational Welfare Officer in line with procedures laid out in our School Attendance Policy and our Statement of Strategy for School Attendance.
