Mrs. O'Dwyer: Additional work for April 20th-24th
Hello Girls,
I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the beautiful weather. The Easter Bunny came to my house and of course I had to help the boys to eat their chocolate! I hope you all had a fantastic Easter break and enjoyed eating all of your chocolate goodies! As the Easter break is now coming to an end, and schools are remaining closed for the foreseeable future I am posting a message here for you all and I am including some work for you to do at your own pace.
English:
- Continue with your Spellbound onto the next unit-28
- Write a diary entry based on your time at home during this Covid-19 health emergency.
- Click on the link to open up small reading comprehensions which you can do orally each day. They are from ‘My read at home book’ which can be found on cjfallon.ie

Geography and English combined:
Read the comprehension on Recycling and answer the questions that follow it. Use your dictionary to help you with new words.
Gaeilge:
- Find 5 verbs from your Irish novel ‘Deirdre agus an Fear Bréige’ and create 5 Irish sentences.
- Go to cjfallon.ie and register for free as a student and open up Bun go Bar 3 pg 123-‘ Na Míonna agus na Séasúir’ and then go to pg130 and complete the Siúl Siar E section
Maths:
Let’s revise the chapter on Length (Remember- There are 100cm in a metre)
- Can you estimate and measure the length of the following items:
- A pencil
- A book
- A table
- A T.V remote
- A window
- By logging into Folens.ie you can access your Planet Maths book online. Complete pages 82+83 during the week.
- Complete the revision test sheet attached based on Length
- Revise the multiplication tables (x4,x8,x12)
- Complete only 3 of the tests in your Maths challenge book this week
History:
Research World War II and find the answers to the following questions.
- When and where was Anne Frank born?
- What age was she when she moved to Holland?
- What was her family’s religion?
- What happened in 1939?
- Who was the German leader?
- How did he treat the Jewish people?
- What did they have to wear on their clothes?
- Where did Anne and her family hide?
- How long did they stay there?
- What was Anne’s diary called?
- Where did Anne die and at what age did she die?
- Who had her diary published?
- How did the war effect Ireland?
Art: Design a poster, drawing all of your favourite activities that you have done over the last few weeks.
These are just some suggestions of work for you to do but please make sure you get outside every day for some important Vitamin D, exercise and fun!
