Active Schools Week Room 7 3rd & 4th Class
Hi girls,
I hope you had great fun last week for Green Schools week and enjoyed planting your seeds. This week is Active Schools week and you have a wide variety of games and exercises in your pack to try. The activities are organized into different days as a guideline for you to follow. I’m looking forward to trying the dice workout and the Skipathon!
Don’t forget to have a look at the ‘Active Schools’ section of the school website for more ideas and guidelines. I have added the link here:

As an additional activity for this week girls, I would like to remind you of a book that we looked at in school this year, it was called ‘Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls’. We read stories about inspirational girls and women throughout history such as Grace O’Malley, Helen Keller and Cleopatra. I have added a picture below to remind you and to show you the MOST IMPORTANT story in the whole book…YOUR story! I would like you to write down things that you have accomplished so far in your life and also your hopes for the future. You have all accomplished great things so far and will continue to use your own unique set of talents to achieve future goals.
I’ll finish with a little seanfhocal or proverb: ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile’, which means that there is no strength without unity, i.e. we can do more if we work together. Continue to look after one another and to work as a team. You are a great group of girls. Maith sibh!
Take care,
Miss Quirke :)
