Active School’s Week 22nd to 26th June

Hello beautiful girls!

Lovely to get your emails and photos as usual! You had a good green week! Well done you! This is the last week of school before the summer holidays so I want you to have the best week EVER!!! This week is Active Week! So get your shorts and runners on and on your marks, get set, GO!

Mrs. Cawley and Ms. Amy Ryan put together lots of activities you can do at home on the sheets in your envelope. There’s even a Sports Day! So make your own stations and obstacle course, design a Treasure Hunt, skip, dance, walk, run, cycle, do yoga but above all HAVE FUN!! Mrs. Cawley and Ms. Amy Ryan also have a post for Active Week  with links for yoga, dance (with Miss Sinead Ryan!), activity chart and games. So make sure to look out for that!

One of the very important things that I would’ve done with you in class if we were there, would’ve been Water Safety. Soon you will be able to travel further and you might be going to the beach or the river and going into the water, so it is very important that you know the dangers and have rules with your parents, so that you can enjoy yourselves safely.

So when you are taking a break/rest from activity learn about water safety with your parents from the following links from Water Safety Ireland for 1st Class.

Wish I was running around with you doing sack and egg n spoon races, throwing the welly etc. etc. I’ll just have to set up my own obstacle course in the garden! Don’t think I could do a 3 legged race with Blu though, could I?

If your parents want you to continue with some English, Maths or other subjects that’s great but there’s no pressure to do so.

Did you see the post I put up last Tuesday Reimagine an Artistic Masterpiece? I've received some amazing Masterpieces already! Well done girls and families!! I hope lots more of you will get involved in this activity and send me the photos by Wednesday 24th June for display at the end of the week. I'm really excited!

Also Ms. Perdue has put The Scribbler, the school magazine up on the website, so have a look if you haven't already.

Have a brilliant week,

Miss you,

Lots of love and massive hugs,

Ms. Maggie O’Brien xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
