Active School Week room 5
Work for 22nd-26th June
Hello Girls,
I hope you are all well. It’s hard to believe this is the last week of school before the summer holidays. Well done to everyone engaged with last week’s work and to those who sent in pictures.
This week is active school week. Take a look at the pack of work you received for the month of June. There is a plan of activities for the week. You can follow this as it is or if it suits you to change around the days, that’s fine. You need to be organized as you have to plan your activities and collect some equipment from your play equipment. Take a look also at the website for links for other activities you can do this week. Miss Ryan from 1st class has kindly put up a dance video for you to follow since she can’t do it with you in person this year! Also, don’t forget to go to the Irish Water Safety Website and look at the PAWS programme for water safety.
Monday Stations
Spread the stations out all around the garden. Do you know how to make a dice? What shape do you think each side should be? Yes, that’s right -square.
There are some good yoga links on the website to help you relax and stretch out after your workout at the stations.
Tuesday Obstacle course
Have fun making your very own obstacle course. Remember to get someone to take a few photos of you in action and send them into the website.
Please be careful with the activities for the obstacle course. Remember, if you have different members of your family taking part you will have to adapt the activities to the age group.
Wednesday Treasure Hunt
Design and make your own treasure hunt. Have fun with this and use your imagination. If a few people are doing it at the same time, you might need a stop watch if you want it to be a race. Again, remember to take pictures of the action.
Thursday Sports Day
This is your stay at home sports day. Have fun and enjoy it. You will have to supply your own ice- cream this year!! You should have great pictures of this day.
Friday Skipathon
This is the day of the holidays so you can do a half day of fun skipping activities. Look at the link on the website. It has lots of lovely skipping activities to try out.
Thank you so much girls for all your hard work this year. You have been fantastic both before and after the early school closure. Relax now and enjoy the summer holidays.
All the best,
Mrs. Cawley.
