A letter from Mrs. Andrews

19th Apr 2020

19th April 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Despite the ongoing restrictions to life at present I hope you and your children have been able to enjoy the lovely weather over recent weeks.  It’s wonderful to see the spring growth all around and seeing the cherry blossom in full bloom would raise your spirits.

Officially restrictions due to the COVID19 pandemic continue until after the May bank holiday weekend so school remains closed until then at least and all indications would be that it will be quite a while before we open our doors again.

We will continue to support you remotely as best we can with some suggested school work that can be done at home and teachers will put up updated assignments on this website each Sunday night for as long as is needed. As I said in my last letter to you please regard this as a guideline to what could be done and encourage your child to do what is suitable for them. To find this week’s addition go to the classes tab on the home page, then to your child’s teacher and look for the most recent upload.  Do encourage your child to engage with some learning each day if at all possible to keep in contact with school work. Continue to encourage as much reading as possible and of course ensure plenty of outdoor activity and exercise. The School Hub developed by RTE and broadcast Monday to Friday from 11.00am to 12.00 is an excellent production and I would encourage all pupils to watch the programme. Also don’t forget the extra resources available on this website.

To contact myself or any member of staff at this time please use the following email address - cashelgirlsschool@gmail.com This email account is monitored daily by Mrs Kealy and myself and we will pass on any comments/queries you may have to the various teachers who will then respond to you personally either by return email or by phone.

Finally, please continue to stay safe and well.

With my very best wishes for you and your families,

Yours sincerely,

Mary Andrews (Principal)
