A letter from Mrs. Andrews
26th April 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Another week of school closure has passed. Well done to everyone on the wonderful engagement with our distance learning programmes as set out by school staff. Staff members were delighted to link in with everyone by phone last week and were delighted with the feedback they received.
This week we introduce a facility for work to be submitted to teachers. You will receive an email address for each individual teacher. This will be a work email for teachers. Please read the guidelines set out below for the operation of the system.
· All teacher email addresses have been set up in response to the current school closure.
· All teacher email addresses are on the gmail.com domain and must contain the school name.
· In order to comply with child protection policy and guidelines all communication should be via parents email accounts to ensure parental awareness of the material being forwarded to teachers and to monitor communication. Pupils may write personal messages to teachers provided parents are aware of same.
· As this is a work email teachers will monitor sent emails during school hours Monday to Friday. They will dedicate a certain amount of time each day to responding to emails and commenting on work sent while continuing to plan for the week ahead.
· Written communication should be restricted to school work only. To discuss a sensitive, private, personal or confidential matter you can request a call back and teachers will ring when available.
· To communicate with the Principal on general school matters or matters of a confidential nature continue to use the school email on cashelgirlsschool@gmail.com (Note that only Mrs Andrews and Mrs Kealy have access to this email)
· All teacher email addresses will be made inactive when school resumes.
I wish everyone the best of luck with the workings of the new developments this week. If for any reason you have difficulty with the new system please contact cashelgirlsschool@gmail.com and we will do our best to sort the problem.
Continue the good work everyone. And please remember doing a little every day and doing it well is good enough in these exceptional and challenging times.
With very best wishes to you all,
Mary Andrews (Principal)
