DANDELION LIFE CYCLE Worksheet – Read the words in the wordbox first. Then read about the lifecycle of the dandelion whilst thinking of the words in the wordbox. Go back and fill in the correct word. Read over the text to ensure it all sounds right! Draw the lifecycle of the dandelion if you didn’t get to do it last week. Don’t forget labels and the all-important arrows! π
GRAMMAR: We know that nouns are names so the name of a person, a place, a thing or an animal. But adjectives are describing words. For example, the sweet, juicy apple. Apple is the noun (the thing) and sweet and juicy are the words to describe the apple. In your copy or on the worksheet, think of an adjective/describing word for each letter of the alphabet.
For example
A is for awful
B is for big
C is for crispy …..
BORING TO SUPER SENTENCES
In class, we turned boring sentences into super sentences !
Boring: The cat sat on the mat.
Super: The fat, black cat sat on the soft, warm mat.
Try turning these boring sentences into super sentences using adjectives !
The snake slid along the grass.
The girl brushed her hair.
The man went to town.
The hamster drank some water.
The horse ran into the field.
The glass fell onto the ground.
